An hour without my phone!
What can a man do without his phone? I did what people did decades ago and bought a newspaper. The Daily Mail, the newspaper I'd read through my teenage years and early twenties. The paper of Thatcherite tories.
What a shocker.
"The Shame Of The Child Rioters." The headline described the riots in England. "Some aged ELEVEN as prosecutors warn of terrorism charges."
Let's explore the headline. Yes! It's a shame that youngsters are caught up in the riots. But who are these child rioters? What communities do they come from? And the elephant in the room, what colour are they?
I looked at the pictures, and there's only one. It's of a cop with a truncheon chasing a white youth who is definitely not eleven years old. The page carries the news that Elon Musk used X to claim that 'civil war is inevitable' in the UK-sparking a rebuttal from Downing Street.'
The writer, George Odling, claimed that Elon "jibed" at the British Prime Minister for his 'two tier' justice system. The claim that Starmer is treating 'Far Right protesters more harshly than Muslims, a claim that is undeniably true. It is so true that on the same page, one bullet point says, 'Officers in Birmingham (England) were forced to defend their tactics of failing to stop a gang of masked Muslims attacking a pub.'
I moved on to Page 10, 'Tinderbox Britain', and the headline, 'Where were police when trouble flared?' A double page spread of a gang of masked men attacking one white man outside a Birmingham pub. They surrounded him, kicked him and 'piled in' as he lay on the floor. The police were not in sight.
The story continued with a video report of a female SkyNews journalist who had to end a live broadcast as Muslim youths surrounded her and shouted at her. The police were nowhere.
The page ends with two stories. One of an 'Armchair thug' held for urging on far-Right mob over Facebook.' The other is that 'Racists 'can be turned away' by NHS staff.' I'll leave it to you to decide what colour the far-Right thug is and who the racists are. That means, of course, that my writing can be considered 'racist'.
A correspondent, David Churchill, carries the headline, 'Starmer ditches Tory plans to plan criminals from social housing list.' It carries the paragraph, 'The government has ditched the Tory pledge to prioritise council and social housing for those with local or British connections over foreigners.' That's the truth. Is that paragraph racist? Is it true that there is a perception that police have 'turned a blind eye to criminality and anti-Semitism at recent pro Palestinian demonstrations for reasons of misguided political correctness.'

Sarah Vine (Columnist of the year...apparently)
'These riots are toxic masculinity at its very worst, tiny hate-filled brains fuelled by conspiracy nonsense and equally toxic male 'influencers'.'
'As for people like Nigel Farage and Elon Musk, I wish they would engage their frontal lobes for five seconds, assuming they had one.'
What was it that brought the ire of Ms Vine to the fore?
Elon has tweeted, 'civil war is inevitable'. Meanwhile, Nigel Farage, by the act of running against the uni party Tories, 'went back to doing what he does best, i.e. winding people up by comparing the unrest to Black Lives Matter riots.'
In an act of shortsightedness, Ms Vine comes to the conclusion that, despite everything she's written, 'there's a perception that the authorities are biased against them.' Ms Vine believes these are important questions that need to be addressed, however unpleasant or uncomfortable that conversation may be. BUT NO ONE WANT TO GO THERE,' including Ms Vine because she rails against two men who do go there.
Why No One Wants To Go There!
Ms Vine (born 16 April 1967) is a British columnist. She has written for the Daily Mail since 2013. She was arts editor at The Times, and was married to Conservative MP Michael Gove.
Married to a uni party politician, means that Ms Vine lives in a very comfortable house in a very comfortable part of England; for the moment, that means that she is not subject to the riots on both sides.
Civil war is coming. Elon Musk is right, Ms Vine is wrong. The riots of Black Lives Matter were entirely commensurate with the riots today. The more quickly people like Ms Vine see that they are being manufactured by politicians like her husband and groups on the left, the better prepared all communities will be.
P.S. Being peaceful means being prepared.
P.P.S. I’m the father of two Muslim daughters in the north of England. and fear for their safety. I’m a white man who has seen the damage illegal and unregulated immigration has done in England, in Sweden, and in America.
The role of the press has always been to propagandize the news to the satisfaction of governmnet. Actually 99% of the news is irrelevant and quite subject to being ignored.
Unfortunately it's a matter of numbers. The number of muslims is now large enough they can contemplate simply taking over.
